Good design needs to serve the requirements of the client while responding to the local context, respecting historic structures and celebrating innovation where sensible.

 

The resultant architecture is sensitive to its surroundings especially in a historic context though it shouldn’t create a pastiche of the past where the historic context isn’t given.
