When I set up Connected Architecture in 2017, I knew I wanted to create an architecture practice founded on warm, meaningful relationships and on fulfilling the desires of busy professionals with families, like me, who needed their homes to multi-task and be both practical and beautiful.

 

The biggest lesson I’d learnt from 13 years at London-based practice Jestico & Whiles, was that successful design is born out of close collaboration between an architect and their client. People I’d designed for over the years had often told me they valued the effort I made to get to know them.

 

By putting conversation at the heart of the process and actively listening to what clients need and want throughout a design project, I believe we have the edge in making our ideas work specifically for the individual – as well as more opportunity to demonstrate our skill, creativity and ingenuity.
