We have a diverse collective background; from deep-retrofit to Passivhaus social housing, landscaping and public realm works, including the fabrication of high-profile cultural installations. Most of our schemes have tight constraints such as urban infill developments, buildings in sensitive settings in and around conservation areas/listed buildings. We believe engaging with these challenging found conditions leads to designs which are innovative and specific to place.

 

We make connections by looking at the history, local construction language and landscape, as well as the social and cultural setting. This process allows us to make characterful, timeless yet contemporary projects which complement and reinforce the qualities of a place.

 

Our commitment to sustainability is from both a technical and pragmatic position, where possible we design projects to Passivhaus standards with ultra-low operational energy and ensure we use the most low embodied energy materials suitable.
